CALIFORNIA  CUP  


The California Cup Club League is an organized group of water polo clubs that will provide each other an opportunity to play in an organized league format.  CA Cup was founded by Tom Curran and CHAWP Water Polo.  The league is designed to increase the level of competition by competing against the best programs in California.

Younger Championships: 10 & under coed, 12 & under and 14 & under Boys and Girls  will play in So. Cal/Inland Empire area May 18-2, 2012.
 Older Championships: 16 & U Boys and Girls will play in Sacramento/Davis area June 1-3, 2012.
18 & U Boys  will play in the in Santa Barbara area June 8th-10th.
18 & U Girls will play in the Bakersfield area June 8th-10th.

Player Spotlight: Gage Stroman of LAWPC

            Gage Stroman is an instrumental playmaker for the LAWPC 16 & U boys’ team. Coach Jordan Watson describes Gage as being an intelligent player with one of the best shots in the pool.
In addition to being a proven scorer on offense, Gage is also a very strong defender having the ability to guard any player in the pool. Coach Watson believes that one of Gage’s strongest weapons is the fact that he knows how to use his body to set up his teammates. Gage, being a left-handed player, can control his team’s offense and effectively attack a zone defense.
Gage led his team to a perfect 2-0 record this past weekend of Cal Cup play.
